The Training and Career Guidance Office at Oman College of Management and Technology (OCMT) successfully held a professional development workshop titled “Portfolio Mastery: Showcasing Your Creative Identity” on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM in Room AC-009. The session was conducted by Ms. Maram Al-Hinai, with the objective of guiding students on how to develop and present their creative portfolios in a way that highlights their unique artistic identity and professional potential.

This workshop aimed to support students in refining their portfolios by focusing on content selection, visual layout, and narrative clarity. Ms. Maram provided practical techniques for structuring creative work in a cohesive and appealing format tailored for academic submissions, internships, and career opportunities. Emphasis was placed on presenting creative projects with clarity, highlighting individual style, and using digital tools to enhance the portfolio's professionalism.
The session featured interactive discussions, where students learned how to describe and justify their creative choices, document their development process, and tailor portfolios for specific fields such as graphic design, multimedia, or visual communication. Tools for online presentation and the use of platforms to host or share digital portfolios were also covered.
Participants actively engaged with the presenter, asking questions and showcasing early drafts of their work. The session helped bridge the gap between academic creativity and industry expectations, empowering students with the confidence to showcase their work effectively to future employers or institutions.
This initiative reflects OCMT’s commitment to nurturing students' professional growth beyond the classroom by equipping them with essential career development tools. The Training and Career Guidance Office continues to organize valuable workshops and sessions to ensure students are well-prepared for the demands of the modern job market.
