Establishment & Identity
OCMT was founded in 2004 as one of the Sultanate's early private higher-education colleges, at a time when Oman's private higher-education sector was still forming alongside Sultan Qaboos University and the newly created Colleges of Technology. Its academic programs are delivered under an affiliation agreement with Yarmouk University in Jordan, meaning the curriculum, assessment standards and degree structure track those of the partner university — a common quality-assurance model among Gulf private colleges of that era.
