Iwan Student Company participated in the Electronic Services Development Hackathon for Higher Education Institutions, organized by the University of Sharqiyah from April 24 to 25, 2025, with the participation of several student teams representing various higher education institutions across the Sultanate of Oman.
Ewan's participation aimed to enhance competitiveness and innovation in developing academic and non-academic services provided to higher education students, contributing to improving the quality and accessibility of these services.
During the hackathon, Ewan presented an innovative non-academic service designed to facilitate the process of finding suitable housing for students in their scholarship areas within the Sultanate of Oman, responding to an urgent need among students seeking reliable accommodation close to their educational institutions.
At the conclusion of the hackathon, Ewan's team succeeded in securing third place in the non-academic electronic services track, thanks to the quality of their proposed idea and the dedicated efforts of the team members throughout the various stages of the challenge.
