The Career Training and Guidance Office organized an important workshop titled " How to Conduct an Interview," where participants gained valuable insights that enhanced their professional profiles and enabled them to excel in the competitive job market. The workshop was held on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and was organized in a hybrid format, both offline at AC-107 in the academic building and online via Microsoft Teams. The workshop was delivered by the distinguished Dr. Sarah Attia from the Foundation Program Department. This workshop is part of the college's commitment to developing students' skills and applying them practically, aiming to equip them with the tools and strategies needed for success in today's dynamic job market.

Dr. Sarah, who has extensive experience in this field, led the workshop, which was rich in knowledge. The goal was to empower participants and guide them on focusing on essential skills, such as conducting structured interviews and assessing a candidate's qualifications and skills for a specific role. The process includes preparing thoughtful questions, creating a comfortable environment, and actively listening to the candidate's responses. During the interview, evaluating both technical competencies and soft skills, such as communication abilities and problem-solving, is crucial. Additionally, providing clear information about the company and the available role gives candidates the opportunity to understand the expectations. Effective note-taking and post-interview evaluation are important steps to ensure a comprehensive and fair assessment of candidates. Overall, conducting an interview requires a blend of preparation, active engagement, and careful evaluation to make informed hiring decisions.

At the end of the workshop, participants praised the content, organization, and interactivity, noting that it added significant value to their career development and increased their chances of securing job opportunities.
