From the college's keen interest in cooperation between higher education institutions and various community organizations, the Student Affairs Department organized a workshop titled "Supporting Charitable and Volunteer Initiatives" on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. The workshop was attended by the college dean and a group of college staff and students. Engineer Mahmoud bin Khalafan Al-Haddidi, the CEO of the Endowment Foundation for Education Support "Siraj," delivered the workshop. The workshop covered several topics, including the role of students in raising community awareness about sponsoring university students and encouraging donations to this noble initiative, the application of Siraj membership to alleviate financial burdens on students, and Siraj's initiative for recycling and its benefits to all stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness among students about this initiative. The workshop featured an extensive dialogue session among the attendees, during which the significance of endowments as a venerable Islamic institution and their support for developing mental and educational capacities and promoting awareness among community members were discussed. Many ideas were proposed to support the Siraj Foundation, including the college dean's initiative to sponsor a large number of students' subscriptions to the Siraj Endowment Foundation.
