News of the Student Visit to the "Oman Across Ages Museum"

The Student Affairs Department organized an educational student trip to the Oman Across Ages Museum on Monday, June 16, 2025, as part of the extracurricular activities aimed at enhancing students’ national identity and deepening their knowledge of the rich history of the Sultanate.

The visit began with a warm welcome from the museum staff, who provided an introductory briefing about the museum and its significance as a cultural and historical landmark that documents the various stages Oman has passed through over the centuries.

Following the introduction, the students embarked on a comprehensive tour of the museum’s diverse halls. They explored many historical artifacts that reflect the depth of Omani civilization, including:

• The ancient history of Oman from the dawn of civilization to the modern era.

• The history and development of the Al Busaidi dynasty Rulers

• Personal belongings, official letters, and rare photographs of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said – may his soul rest in peace.

• Traditional Omani crafts practiced in the past, such as shipbuilding, weaving, silverwork, and pottery.

The students showed great enthusiasm and genuine interest in the information presented throughout the tour.

At the end of the visit, the Student Affairs Department expressed sincere thanks to the museum administration for their warm reception and fruitful cooperation.
