From proposal to final presentation

The graduation project is an undergraduate course in which you apply what you have learned under academic supervision and clear, published rules.

مشروع التخرج مقرر لطلبة البكالوريوس تطبّق فيه ما تعلّمته بإشراف أكاديمي ووفق ضوابط واضحة ومعلنة.

Your Project Step by Step

  1. 1

    Committee formed

    The Head of Department forms the Graduation Project Committee at the start of each academic year.

    يشكّل رئيس القسم لجنة مشاريع التخرج في بداية كل عام أكاديمي.

    Proposal

    Submit your proposal in week 14 of the semester before the project begins.

    سلّم مقترحك في الأسبوع الرابع عشر من الفصل الدراسي السابق لبدء المشروع.

    Ethical approval

    If your project involves human participants, animals or sensitive data, obtain approval before collecting data. Sign the Research Ethics Compliance Form and the Intellectual Property Undertaking Form.

    الموافقة الأخلاقية

    إذا شمل مشروعك مشاركين من البشر أو حيوانات أو بيانات حساسة فاحصل على الموافقة قبل جمع البيانات، ووقّع نموذج الالتزام بأخلاقيات البحث العلمي وتعهد الملكية الفكرية.

    Supervision

    Hold at least five documented meetings with your supervisor in each semester.

    اعقد خمسة لقاءات موثَّقة على الأقل مع مشرفك في كل فصل دراسي.

    Final report

    Submit three weeks before the final examination (about week 12). It is screened for similarity under the Academic Integrity Policy.

    سلّمه قبل ثلاثة أسابيع من الامتحان النهائي (نحو الأسبوع الثاني عشر)، ويخضع لفحص التشابه وفق سياسة النزاهة الأكاديمية.

    Viva voce

    Weeks 13 and 14, before a panel that includes an external examiner from a higher education institution.

    في الأسبوعين الثالث عشر والرابع عشر أمام لجنة تضم ممتحناً خارجياً من مؤسسة تعليم عالٍ.

Marking

The mark is out of 100. Each department sets the weights in its approved course specification.

التقييم

الدرجة من 100، ويحدد كل قسم الأوزان في مواصفات المقرر المعتمدة.

Public presentation

Encouraged for all projects; compulsory only if the study plan or course specification requires it.

العرض العام

مشجَّع لجميع المشاريع، ويكون إلزامياً فقط إذا نصّت عليه الخطة الدراسية أو مواصفات المقرر.

Similarity score

A score is a screening indicator only, not proof of plagiarism.

نسبة التشابه

النسبة مؤشر للفحص فقط وليست دليلاً على الانتحال.

Concerns about your mark

A graduation project mark cannot be appealed. You may submit a grievance through the Student Affairs and Career Guidance Department.
