Ethical approval before you collect data

الموافقة الأخلاقية قبل جمع البيانات

Research involving people must protect their rights and wellbeing. Ethical approval is required before collecting data from human participants.

يجب أن يحمي البحث الذي يشمل أشخاصاً حقوقهم وسلامتهم. والموافقة الأخلاقية مطلوبة قبل جمع البيانات من مشاركين بشريين.

The Approval Route

    Fill the form

    The Ethical Request Form covers the title and aim, background, data collection methods and tools, research instruments, ethical issues and how they are addressed, and risks.

    يتضمن نموذج أخلاقيات البحث العنوان والهدف، والخلفية، وأساليب جمع البيانات وأدواته، وأدوات البحث، والقضايا الأخلاقية وكيفية معالجتها، والمخاطر.

    Head of Department

    Submit the completed form to the Head of Department.

    قدّم النموذج المكتمل إلى رئيس القسم.

    Department Research Committee

    The committee reviews the application.

    تراجع اللجنة الطلب.

    Department Council

    The Council considers the committee’s review.

    Scientific Research and Innovation Committee

    Reviews the application and makes a recommendation.

    Dean

    Approves, rejects or requests modification.

معلومات مهمة

Participant rights

Participation is voluntary. Participants may withdraw at any time without penalty, their information is kept confidential, and they receive the researcher’s contact details.

حقوق المشاركين

المشاركة طوعية، ويحق للمشارك الانسحاب في أي وقت دون عقوبة، وتُحفظ معلوماته بسرية، ويحصل على بيانات التواصل مع الباحث.

Surveys outside the College

May need approval from the National Centre for Statistics and Information. The Head of the research committee requests the Dean’s sponsoring letter and applies through the Centre’s portal.

الاستبانات خارج الكلية

قد تتطلب موافقة المركز الوطني للإحصاء والمعلومات. ويطلب رئيس لجنة البحث العلمي خطاب رعاية من العميد ويقدّم الطلب عبر بوابة المركز.

Transparency

Disclose funding, affiliations and conflicts of interest, and follow the Academic Integrity Policy on the use of artificial intelligence.
