Student conduct at OCMT

سلوك الطلبة في الكلية

The conduct regulations apply to all registered students on campus, online, in examinations and in any College activity. Penalties are graduated and may be combined.

تسري لوائح السلوك على جميع الطلبة المسجلين داخل الحرم وعبر الإنترنت وفي الامتحانات وفي أي نشاط للكلية. والعقوبات متدرجة ويجوز الجمع بينها.

    Violations

    Include deliberate absence, cheating, acts harming honour or the College’s reputation, insulting staff or students, damaging property, forgery, harassment or bullying, and plagiarism or impersonation.

    Penalties

    Caution; removal from class or exam hall; loss of lectures or facilities; three official warnings; dropping courses; suspension for a semester or more; final dismissal; postponing or revoking the certificate.

    تنبيه؛ إخراج من القاعة؛ الحرمان من المحاضرات أو المرافق؛ ثلاثة إنذارات رسمية؛ حذف مساقات؛ إيقاف فصلاً دراسياً أو أكثر؛ فصل نهائي؛ تأجيل منح الشهادة أو إلغاؤها.

    Who decides

    The instructor imposes the lightest penalties. The Student Disciplinary Committee (3 faculty members and a Student Council representative) decides penalties 1–8. The Dean decides 9–12 on its recommendation.

    يفرض مدرّس المساق العقوبات الأخف. وتقرر لجنة الانضباط الطلابي (ثلاثة أعضاء هيئة تدريس وممثل عن مجلس الطلبة) العقوبات 1–8، ويقرر العميد العقوبات 9–12 بتوصية منها.

    Academic misconduct

    Cheating, plagiarism and similar cases are handled under the Academic Integrity Policy, starting with the Departmental Academic Integrity Committee, not the Disciplinary Committee.

    يُتعامل مع الغش والانتحال وما شابههما وفق سياسة النزاهة الأكاديمية، بدءاً بلجنة النزاهة الأكاديمية في القسم وليس لجنة الانضباط.

    Appeals

    Committee decisions on penalties 1–8 are final within the College. Penalties 9–12 may be appealed in writing to the College Council within 15 calendar days of notification.

    الاستئناف

    قرارات اللجنة بشأن العقوبات 1–8 نهائية داخل الكلية. ويجوز استئناف العقوبات 9–12 كتابةً أمام مجلس الكلية خلال 15 يوماً تقويمياً من الإبلاغ.

    Records and damage

    Penalties are recorded in your academic record and may be reported to your guardian or sponsor. Compensation for damaged property is a separate remedy.

    تُسجَّل العقوبات في سجلك الأكاديمي وقد يُبلَّغ بها وليّ الأمر أو الجهة الراعية. والتعويض عن الأضرار بالممتلكات إجراء مستقل.

Fair process

The Student Disciplinary Committee hears the parties and witnesses and lets the student give a statement and respond to the allegation.

إجراءات عادلة

تستمع لجنة الانضباط الطلابي إلى الأطراف والشهود وتتيح للطالب تقديم إفادته والرد على الادعاء.
